Your consultant will write to your GP after an appointment, updating them on what has been said and suggested. If you have not seen your GP prior to appointment we will not have a copy of any relevant medical records. It is therefore extremely important that you tell your consultants about anything that maybe relevant such as medications or allergies.
Prior to making any decision on course of treatment it is important to inform your GP who has oversight of your full medical record.
