I have been a Consultant Urological Surgeon for over 19 years. I am research active and so abreast of developments in my field of urology. I have a MBE (2013) for services to the NHS and a national Clinical Excellence Award. I am an medical legal expert. I have particular expertise in prostate cancer and erectile dysfunction. I set up and lead the regional prostate low dose brachytherapy service at Barts Health NHS Trust. I provide a prostate transperineal template biopsy service which is the gold standard means of diagnosing prostate cancer. I have wide experience in core urology procedures, including transurethral surgery of prostate and bladder. I have performed 100 transurethral needle ablation of prostate for benign prostate enlargement, probably the largest NHS experience in the UK. I have carried out over 500 template prostate biopsies and taught several urologists the technique over the past 8 years.
