Mr McFarlane is a specialist in Urology. He trained in Oxford, London and Melbourne and was appointed as a Consultant Urologist at the Royal United Hospital Bath in 2002. He has a specialist interest in urological cancers, and prostate cancer in particular. Mr McFarlane has a busy clinical practice, and is also active in research, teaching and management. He has pioneered the use of several advanced treatments, such as prostate brachytherapy and laparoscopic prostatectomy.
