I qualified from the University of Southampton in 1984. I have worked in a variety of hospitals in England and in New Zealand. Following training in general internal medicine I specialised in rheumatology. I was a consultant in general medicine and rheumatology from 1996 to 2017 at Epsom & St Helier Hospitals. I then moved to King's College Hospital in London where I do 5 rheumatology clinics per week and on-call for acute rheumatology.
