Specialist Training in both Rheumatology and General Medicine was as i) SHO at St Thomas’ Hospital London, ii) Registrar at St George’s Hospital London, iii) Senior Registrar at St Thomas’, St Mary’s, and Charing Cross Hospitals London, 1989 – 1991. Research training was as an Arthritis Research Campaign Research Fellow at The Bone and Joint Research Unit attached to The Royal London Hospital. Dr Merry’s research was investigating the role of “Free Radicals” in inflammatory arthritis.
