Education:

After graduating in 1994 from Leicester medical school, and completing specialist registrar training in Newcastle, I obtained my first consultant post in 2004, at North Tees hospital, Stockton. The opportunity to obtain the post as clinical lead for rheumatology led me to move to Darlington Memorial Hospital in 2008, where I have remained since, dividing my time between seeing patients with the whole range of rheumatological conditions, and other important duties including teaching, research, audit, and managerial responsibilities.
