Dr Edward Nash is a consultant physician at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in the School of Clinical and Experimental Medicine at the University of Birmingham Medical School. He trained in respiratory medicine in Bristol and spent 12 months as CF fellow in Toronto, Canada at the largest CF clinic in North America. As part of this fellowship he also worked as Lung Transplant fellow in the busiest transplant unit in North America. I currently care for inpatients and outpatients with the full range of respiratory conditions and also have specialist interests is cystic fibrosis (CF), bronchiectasis, lung cancer and COPD. I work as one of the three consultant physicians in a large multidisciplinary team and I am research lead at the West Midlands Adult CF Centre at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital. I provide the endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) service at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust and am clinical lead for bronchoscopy and pleural disease.
