I have a solid grounding in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery, with more than 19 years’ total experience in the specialty. I was schooled in the UK but did my medical training in Lahore, Pakistan. My plastic surgery training has been in every province of the UK, including Northern Ireland. I am a fully accredited plastic surgeon in the UK. I have been an NHS consultant since February 2005, working in one of the largest units in the country. I treat patients with cancers of the head and neck and have established a multidisciplinary facial palsy service in Newcastle upon Tyne, serving the Northeast and Cumbria and beyond. Surgery for these conditions often involves the use of state of the art reconstructive techniques, including microsurgery. I also have an interest in cosmetic surgery. My practice includes cosmetic surgery to the face, nose, breast and abdomen, liposculpture, prominent ear correction and a number of other procedures including non-surgical treatment. I currently use an iPhone application to show patients how they would look after different procedures.
