Education:

Graduating from the University of Malta in 1993, he received anaesthetic and pain training in Dublin and London. In 2000, he was a visiting fellow in Regional Anaesthesia in Uppsala, Sweden. Subsequently in 2002 to 2004, he acquired advanced specialist training in Pain Medicine in Sydney and Adelaide where he developed his interests in interventional pain management, neuromodulation and cancer pain. Dr Azzopardi is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists UK.
