Mr Sunil Trakru specialises in adult hip and knee joint problems. His main area of practice is in hip and knee joint replacement, hip resurfacing and in sports injuries of the knee. He completed his general orthopaedic training in the East Kent and Mid Essex areas, followed by specialist training for 18 months at the University of Pittsburgh, USA. He has been a consultant at the North Middlesex University Hospital, London, since 1995. Mr Trakru conducts research in the field of hip and knee joint replacement and has devised a new technique for safe removal of failed hip replacements, which he has shown in the US.
