Mark is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspecialist interest in Hand & Wrist Surgery and Trauma. He qualified in Cambridge in 1989 and, after basic surgical training, and a research post at the Royal Free Hospital, he completed specialist training in Orthopaedics & Trauma on the King’s College Hospital rotation. After higher surgical training he completed two fellowships: one in Hand Surgery in the Plastic Surgical Department at Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, and a second in fracture reconstruction in the University of Pisa, Italy. After 14 years as an NHS Consultant, the last 12 of which at King’s College Hospital, he now consults privately only. He has been engaged in research, audit, governance and clinical leadership roles in the NHS. He has been a key opinion leader in the field of fracture repair and has lectured on Hand & Wrist Surgery and fracture healing at many meetings nationally and internationally.
