Education:

Mr Joshua Lee qualified in Medicine from the University of Bristol in 1999; he then moved to London for his surgical training and completed his orthopaedic training on the North West Thames rotation in West London. He then underwent sub-specialist training for a year in hip and knee surgery on the prestigious Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at The Ottawa Hospital in Canada. Working with world-renowned surgeon, Dr Paul Beaulé, he developed an interest in hip joint preservation surgery and tissue sparing anterior approach hip joint replacement. This was followed by a trauma fellowship at St Mary’s Hospital, London. Mr Lee was then appointed as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon to Barts and The Royal London Hospital. His main interest is in hip and knee surgery. In addition, he helps train future orthopaedic surgeons and has recently helped secure a bid to set up a simulation centre for orthopaedics at The Royal London Hospital.
