He graduated from Bristol University with Basic Surgical Training in Bristol and Surrey, and subsequently as a Specialist Registrar in Oxford. Prior to his appointment as a consultant he completed a 12 month fellowship in Vancouver, Canada. The Combined Neurosurgical and Orthopaedic Spine Program in Vancouver is one of the few centres in the world where the two surgical disciplines are truly integrated giving the Fellows a comprehensive training in all aspects of cutting edge spinal surgery. He has brought that training back to Oxford and in concert with the existing surgical team and more recent additions has seen Oxford develop into perhaps he most forward thinking complex spine centre in the UK. He aspires to integrate orthopaedic spine with the neurosurgical spinal services to take consolidate that position Jeremy is spine lead consultant for Oxford’s Bone and Soft Tissue Tumour Service and has developed the regional pathway for tumour associated spinal cord compression.
