Mr Iain Packham has been a consultant orthopaedic durgeon in Bristol since 2007. His NHS practice is based at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre in Southmead and Frenchay Hospital. His specialist interest is in the diagnosis and management of all shoulder condition, particularly arthroscopic or key hole surgery for rotator cuff pathology and dislocations. Mr Packham trained at Nottingham University before undertaking his basic surgical training and then specialist orthopaedic higher surgical training in the London region. He has undertaken fellowships at the Cape Shoulder Institute, Cape Town and The Australian Institute of Musculoskeletal Surgery in Sydney with a focus on the arthroscopic treatment of sports injuries. He has an active research interest and has published on a number of subjects including sports injuries, joint replacement and hospital infection.
