Mr Hari Prem completed his orthopaedic training in London, based at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals. He has completed an arthroscopy fellowship in Australia, as well as ankle replacement and paediatric orthopaedic fellowships in Manchester. He holds NHS consultant posts at two tertiary referral centres - The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital and the Birmingham Children’s Hospital. His clinical practice is entirely in the field of foot and ankle surgery and limb reconstruction in all age groups, from newborns to the elderly. Mr Prem has a special interest in sports injuries and is currently studying the role of shockwave therapy for painful tendons and fascia. He has published papers on the long term results of ankle replacements, ultrasound study of tendon healing and clubfoot surgery, and presented his results at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons as well as meetings both national and international. He is a keen lecturer regularly teaching senior surgical trainees, physiotherapists and medical students.
