Mr Bhavik M Shah has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Kettering General NHS Trust since 2001. He has been appointed as Hip and Hand Specialist but he has provided general orthopaedic and trauma services in this hospital for the last 10 years. He trained in India, Manchester and Nottingham and spent twenty four months on Fellowships in hip and knee replacement and revision hip surgery in Wrightington Hospital, UK, Hand Surgery Fellowship in Wrightington Hospital, UK and Trauma Fellowship in Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham. He also treats patients privately at the Woodland Hospital, Kettering and Three Shires Hospital, Northampton. He consults approximately 300 patients/month and operates on 50-70 patients/month between the NHS and private hospitals. Mr Shah has published and presented extensively on various subjects of hip replacement surgery, revision hip replacement surgery, hand surgery and knee replacement surgery. He has been invited to talk on similar subjects nationally and internationally.
