Mr Anthony Hearnden is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in upper limb surgery. Mr Hearnden qualified from Kings College Medical School in London. He was a junior doctor at the Royal Surrey and then completed a year of plastic surgery training. His Orthopaedic training was in South West London before winning a prestigious hand and shoulder surgery fellowship at The Wrightington Hospital. He was privileged to be made a consultant at Wrightington, where he routinely treated complex and tertiary hand, elbow and upper limb disorders from the North West of England. He has recently returned to take up a consultant post at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford. In addition to his surgical qualifications, he holds a BSc in medical physics and is an honorary senior lecturer in orthopaedic management at Salford University. Mr. Hearnden lectures nationally and internationally on hand and shoulder surgery and is widely published in the medical journals. He is a member of several professional organisations. Mr Hearnden specialises exclusively in upper limb surgery of the hand, wrist, shoulder and elbow, as well as general trauma. His surgery uses advanced arthroscopic and minimally invasive methods. His practice offers a comprehensive multidisciplinary upper limb service, through close links with referring therapists and clinicians.
