Professor Bernard Chang is a consultant oculoplastics, ophthalmic, lacrimal and orbital surgeon at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He is also the clinical lead for ophthalmology in Leeds. Prof Chang is the current honorary secretary of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists UK and served as a council member on the Royal College of Ophthalmologists for five years. He is the ophthalmic representative on the Joint Committee on Surgical Training, serving on the Interface Group on Cosmetic Surgery. He is also the ophthalmic adviser to the National Commissioning Group on matters relating to ocular oncology. Before joining the MHRA, Prof Chang also served as an elected member on the Ophthalmic Group Committee of the British Medical Association from 2005 to 2009.
