I have completed my specialist registrar training in Ophthalmology in the Northern Deanery, between Newcastle upon Tyne, Sunderland and Middlesbrough. During this time I gained extensive training in general ophthalmology and developed a particular interest in glaucoma and cataract surgery through clinical experience, research and teaching. I have been awarded the Higher Degree of Doctor of Medicine from Newcastle University in 2007 for my research in the field of Glaucoma Genetics. I attend and present regularly at national and international meetings and have published a significant number of articles on peer reviewed journals as well as book chapters.
