I am a consultant ophthalmic surgeon with a specialist interest in vitreo retinal diseases. I graduated from Trinity Medical School, Dublin in 1991 with honours in surgery. I started ophthalmology training in 1994 in the UK. I completed my higher surgical training in ophthalmology on the West Midland rotation. This was followed by three fellowships in vitreo-retinal surgery and medical retina at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre, Oxford Eye Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.
