I am currently a Consultant Neurosurgeon in the NHS at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Scotland and have subspeciality interests in neuro-oncology, spinal surgery and CSF disorders. I am particularly interested in all aspects of minimally invasive cranial and spinal surgery. I believe in utilizing multimodality technology including microscopy, image guidance and endoscopy to improve patient comfort and surgical safety wherever possible. I trained at St Andrews and Manchester medical schools before completing Neurosurgical training in the North West of England. I subsequently completed a Fellowship in Neuro-oncology surgery at the Walton Centre in Liverpool before starting my Consultant post in Aberdeen in 2015.
