Dr Saiju Jacob is a Consultant Neurologist and Neuroimmunologist and currently the Clinical Service Lead for Neurology at the University Hospitals Birmingham, UK. He trained in London, Birmingham and Oxford and has done a fellowship in Neuroimmunology under the guidance of Prof Angela Vincent at the University of Oxford. His research was primarily on the pathophysiology of seronegative myasthenia gravis with particular reference to the role of complement pathway. Dr Jacob currently is the Clinical Lead for the Neuroimmunology laboratories at the University of Birmingham and is involved in several international trials in the field of autoimmune neurological diseases including myasthenia gravis, transverse myelitis, NMO, autoimmune encephalitis etc.
