Dr Mohammad Sharief is a consultant neurologist and clinical lead at the Department of Neurology, Colchester Hospital University Foundation Trust. He received advanced neurological and neurophysiological training at the Institute of Neurology and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London. After receiving three academic degrees from the University of London, he completed higher neurological training at Barts and the Royal London Hospital. Dr Sharief's first consultant appointment was at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in 1997. A year later he was appointed director of the MS Research Clinic at Guy's Hospital and headed the CSF Research Unit at King's College London. He took up a consultant position at Colchester in 2006. Dr Sharief currently heads five multi-disciplinary teams for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, traumatic brain injury, motor neuron disease, and Botox injections.
