Enrico Flossmann, DPhil, MRCP is a consultant neurologist at the Spire Dunedin Hospital, Royal Berkshire and Oxford University Hospitals. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Neurology at Oxford University. He qualified in medicine from the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena/Germany in 1997. He also spent time at St George's Hospital Medical School London/England, McGill University Montreal/Canada, University of Chicago/USA, Mt. Sinai Hospital New York/USA, and Keio University Tokyo/Japan. He did his general professional training in London and his neurological training in Oxford. He was a fellow at the Stroke Prevention Research Unit in Oxford, where he completed his doctoral thesis. He sees patients with all general neurological conditions and carries out nerve conduction studies for carpal tunnel syndrome. He has a special interest in stroke and vascular neurology. He is the clinical lead for the acute stroke service and stroke thrombolysis at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and maintains close links with the stroke neurologists in Oxford.
