I am a Consultant Nephrologist at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trusts. I qualified with distinction from Mosul Medical School, Iraq in 1991. Following completion of my PhD degree at the Division of Nephrology and Rheumatology, Niigata University, Japan, I undertook specialist training at Cambridge University Hospitals. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London). I have a wealth of experience in all fields of Nephrology and have a special interest in glomerular diseases. My research interests focus on the pathogenesis of glomerular diseases as well as on haemodialysis. I am a Principle Investigator of several clinical trials and I have published extensively in several leading journals and textbooks in Nephrology.
