Mr Athanasias is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist based in London. He practices in both the NHS ( Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Tust) and the private sector ( 25 Harley Street Clinic, The Portland Hospital, Spire St Anthony's Hospital). He is also a Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George's University of London. He provides a range of gynaecological services and his main interest is minimal access surgery, colposcopy, management of abnormal smears and early pregnancy complications. Mr Athanasias is a Leading Specialist in the outpatient treatment of uterine polyps, fibroids and the outpatient treatment of menorrhagia with endometrial ablation under local anaesthetic. Office gynaecology procedures allow the patient to have the diagnosis and treatment in one appointment and return to the daily activities immediately. Mr Athanasias completed his training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in the London Deanery and subsequently developed special skills in minimally invasive surgery as a clinical fellow in advanced gynaecological endoscopy (Whittington Hospital, London).
