Mr Gidon Lieberman
I offer a broad range of gynaecology services, while I have a special interest in assisted reproduction, associated fertility-related problems (such as endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome) as well as laproscopic surgery and gynaecological scanning. www.gidonlieberman.com I am a Consultant Gynaecologist at The Whittington Hospital NHS Trust and Honorary Senior Lecturer at UCL. At the Whittington Hospital I am the clinical lead and HFEA person responsible, for Fertility services. My private practice is based in North London. My specialist areas are sub-fertility, gynaecological ultrasound and minimal invasive surgery. I undertook my undergraduate studies at St Andrews University and Manchester Medical School qualifying in 1993. I then moved to London and was a registrar in North East London. I was granted my post graduate MD thesis based on the investigation and development of new techniques in diagnosing ovarian cancer. I was heavily involved in the ultrasound assessment of the pelvis, which subsequently led me to develop an interest in fertility. Following my general training I went on to be a Clinical Lecturer at The Royal Free University College Hospital Medical School until 2004. I then successfully completed Sub specialty training in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospital. In addition to Reproductive Medicine and Surgery as well as general Obstetrics and Gynaecology, I am accredited by the Royal College of Obstetricians in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, gynaecological ultrasound and management of the menopause. I believe that the journey through medical issues (particularly sub-fertility) is often very strenuous and that a supportive and constructive interaction between health professional and patient is vitally important. I enjoy working alongside other health professionals and I work closely with an acupuncturist and nutritionilist.
