I am a consultant ENT surgeon working at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and Central Manchester Foundation Trust. I completed my fellowship in paediatric ENT at the Evelina Hospital, London. My professional responsibilities include being an assistant editor of the Cochlear Implants International journal, an international editorial board member for the Clinical Otolaryngology journal, and a member of the Standing Scientific Committee of the European Society for Paediatric Otolaryngology (ESPO). I have a sub-specialist interest in all aspects of paediatric ENT including: children's ear disease and hearing loss; glue ear; implantable hearing devices (cochlear implants and bone anchored hearing aids); snoring and tonsillitis in children; neck lumps in children; nasal obstruction; drooling; and tongue ties. By invitation I am asked to lecture at national and international conferences about various aspects of paediatric ENT and implantable hearing aids (cochlear implants and BAHA). My research interests compliment my clinical sub-specialisations and include hearing loss in childhood, hearing implants and airway obstruction in children. I will also see adult patients with ear and hearing problems.
