Mr Richard Sim is a consultant ENT surgeon working in the south of England. His basic surgical training was undertaken in Oxford; this was followed by a period of research into pathogenic mechanisms in meningitis at the Institute of Molecular Medicine, Oxford which was recognized for the award of MD. He was accepted onto the southwest ENT rotation in 2000 and during this time worked in a number of hospitals throughout the region including Bristol Children’s Hospital. Mr Sim was awarded the TWJ fellowship in Otology and Neurotology with Professor Paul Fagan in Sydney for 2007 and subsequently spent one year in Bristol as a locum consultant prior to his substantive NHS appointment in 2008.
