Mr George Manjaly is experienced in all aspects of ear, nose and throat and head and neck surgery. With a special interest in ear and sinus surgery this includes middle ear surgery and endoscopic sinus surgery. Mr Manjaly can also manage and diagnose voice and swallowing related problems. Mr Manjaly works very closly with speech therapy services. Mr George Manjaly took up his previous post as Consultant ENT Surgeon at Eastbourne District General Hospital in 1997. He qualified in 1980 and undertook his specialist training at University Hospital, Birmingham. Between 1993 and 1995 he undertook a period of scientific research at Keele University investigating the neurochemistry of sound transmission in the human brain. This work led to the award of an MPhil degree. Mr Manjaly has worked at several hospitals during his career, including Manchester Royal Infirmary, North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary, City Hospital and Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham and New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton. In 1995, he spent 6 months at Case Western Reserve University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio USA, undertaking specialist training in rhinoplasty and cosmetic facial surgery. He was the main organiser of the International Endoscopic Sinus Surgery Workshop at AIIMS, Kerala, India in 2004.
