Mr Maheshwar is a Consultant Ear, Nose, Throat, Head & Neck and Thyroid Surgeon at Colchester General and Broomfield, Chelmsford Hospitals. He has been a consultant for seven years, having previously completed his ENT training in Wales, followed by a year‘s clinical fellowship at the world renowned Auckland City Hospital, New Zealand and a six-month research fellowship at Cincinnati Hospital, USA. Mr Maheshwar developed the head and neck unit at Colchester, setting up its’ MDT and subsequently with colleagues from across Essex, the Essex Cancer Head and Neck MDT at Chelmsford. He is the Lead Consultant for both Head and Neck cancers and Thyroid cancers at Colchester. He has published numerous papers in peer reviewed journal. His clinical practice includes treating and operating on patients with general adult and paediatric ear, nose and throat problems like tonsillectomy, grommet surgery in children, nasal and sinus surgery, surgery for voice problems including vocal cord paralysis, major surgeries for head and neck cancers, neck lumps, salivary gland problems and thyroid surgeries as well.
