Dr Orr is a specialist in all forms of adult heart disease with particular expertise in treating coronary artery disease. He is a graduate of Royal London Hospital Medical College and trained in cardiology in Reading and Oxford. He was a British Heart Foundation Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, University of Oxford 1996-1998, investigating atrial arrhythmias after cardiac surgery and the role of special pacing techniques in their prevention. Dr Orr was an Interventional Fellow in the Department of Cardiology at Green Lane Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand in 2002. He has produced publications on Atrial Fibrillation and Cardiac Arrhythmias (Oxford Textbook of Geriatric Medicine), Diseases of the Aorta, Valve Disease, Coronary Angioplasty and Pre-Operative Risk.
