I am a consultant cardiologist with practices in Surrey and London. I work for the NHS as an interventional consultant cardiologist at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford, Frimley Park Hospital, Frimley and St George's Hospital, London. A graduate of St Mary's Hospital Medical School, London, I have specialist accreditation in both cardiology and general medicine, and have an extensive background in cardiac research. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). I am also a member of the British Cardiovascular Society, British Cardiovascular Intervention Society and a founding member of the British Society of Heart Failure. I established many of the cardiology services at the Royal Surrey County Hospital including an the onsite cardiac catheterisation laboratory, heart failure and EP services, cardiopulmonary exercise (CPEX) testing as well as primary PCI services for acute heart attacks in conjunction with Frimley Park Hospital. I was the Clinical Director for Cardiology for Royal Surrey County Hospital from 2010-15 and I am the President of the local branch of the British Heart Foundation. My special interests include interventional cardiology (coronary angioplasty and stenting), heart failure, pacing, and the management of hypertension (high blood pressure) and atrial fibrillation.
